I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas Break! It is hard to believe that we are starting a new semester and we are half way through this school year!

January 6: First day back for students

Reading:
RL.1Asking and answering questions when reading a story ( using who, what, when , where, why and how).
RL.2Recount stories ( fables and folktales from diverse cultures ) and determine their central message or moral or lesson.
RL.6Acknowledge differences in the points of view of characters, including by speaking in a different voice for each character when reading dialogue aloud.
Math:
NBT.8 Adding and subtracting by multiples of 10 or 100 to numbers 100-900.
NBT.6 Adding up to four 2- digits numbers
NBT. 7 Adding and subtracting to 1000
Writing:
We are going to be writing about opinions this quarter. Students will get the chance to write positive and negative opinions for different subjects.

Please remember to have your child reading aleast 20 minutes a day ( on Raz-kids or any books) and to record on the Reading logs for Six Flags, Ms.Culbertson in the Library and for my class.
Please have your child practice at home on Moby Max and Headsprout for extra reading, phonics and math practice!
